What this contract is for

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) solicitation that will result in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for construction services for building repairs at the Wilson and Kanopolis Lake Projects in the Ellsworth, Russell, and Lincoln Counties of Kansas. The work includes, but is not limited to, removing and replacing existing roofs on two facilities with standing seam roofs , removing and replacing the guttering and downspouts, adding additional flashing and siding, and stripping and performing preparation and painting of facilities/buildings across both lakes. It will be solicited and evaluated in accordance with Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul (RFO) Part 14. The estimated period of performance for completion of the awarded contract is 270 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement will be solicited as a 100% total small business set aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238160 - Roofing Contractors, an SBA size standard of $19M. The Product Service Code (PSC) is Z2JZ – Repair or Alteration of Miscellaneous Buildings. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency Contracting Officer. RFO Subpart 9.2 Qualification Requirements will not apply to this acquisition.
