What this contract is for
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The purpose of this sources sought is for market research to gain knowledge of potential sources for future needs including interested small business sources. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. Kansas Air National Guard, McConnell AFB will soon be soliciting for a project for Backflow Preventer Upgrades. The work shall consist of removal of the five backflow preventer systems varying in size and purpose and the installation of five new backflow preventer systems, replacing the existing systems. The contractor will be responsible for removal, proper sizing, connections, installation of the new backflow preventers, testing/certifying, and when complete there will be no defects nor leaks. The project needs to include the following: Building 33, Southwest Bay – 6-inch diameter Backflow Preventer System for Fire Suppression Remove the existing 6-inch diameter Fire Suppression Backflow Prevention System. Install a new 6-inch diameter Fire Suppression Backflow Prevention System. Testing of the newly installed 6-inch diameter Fire Suppression Backflow Prevention System by a certified installer/tester that meets the requirements set up by the board of appeals of plumbers and gas fitters of the city of Wichita & Sedwick County.
