PRESOLICITATION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan Engineer District is providing a PRE-SOLICITATION notice pursuant to RFO FAR 5.101 to notify industry of an upcoming acquisition that will include: PROJECT INFORMATION: Project Title: FY27 Maintenance Dredging Yokohama North Dock Project Location: Yokohama North Dock, Kanagawa, Japan Project PSC: Z1KF – Maintenance of Dredging Facilities Project NAICS: 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction Project Magnitude: Between ¥1,000,000,000 and ¥2,500,000,000 (Japanese YEN) Project Description: Maintenance dredging of naturally recurring bottom sediments (sand, silt, and clays) within the United States Exclusive Use Area (EUA) of Yokohama North Dock, encompassing Berths 1-7 and A-L, to ensure safe passage for watercraft and support mission requirements. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, conventional hydraulic or mechanical dredging methods and transportation and disposal of dredged material. SOLICITATION/PROCUREMENT METHOD: 1. This procurement will prequalify sources as authorized per Class Deviation 2026-O0019 DFARS 236.101-70. See below for prequalification requirements and process. 2. Following the pre-qualification process, the Government will then issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation utilizing FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding procedures to those prequalified. 3. Prequalification and solicitation are intended for local sources only. LOCAL SOURCES: a. This contract will be performed in its entirety in the country of Japan and is intended only for local sources. Only local sources will be considered under this solicitation.
