What this contract is for

This RFP will be solicited utilizing a single-phase competitive procurement, negotiation procedures under FAR Part 15. Evaluation will be conducted utilizing the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The Government intends to award one (1) firm fixed-price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237130– Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for general construction type projects. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the construction magnitude of this project is estimated between valued between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000 in the NAVFAC Washington (Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland) area of responsibility. The period of performance of this contract will be for 365 days. Project Description: P007 Relocation of Communication HUB Bldgs 8 and 9 Marine Barrack, Washington, DC Work includes but is not limited to: a. Renovate the basement of Building 9 to create the new Telecommunications Equipment Room to house the existing equipment cabinets from Building 8 and Building 220 second floor telecommunications rooms. Renovate the basement of Building 9 to create a new Telecommunications Entrance Facility (TEF) to house the Verizon equipment racks currently located in the Building 20 demarcation room on the upper parking level. b. Relocate/re-route cabling from the Building 8 existing demarcation cabinet to the new TEF. Route new communications cabling from Quarters 1 through 6 to the new Building 9 Telecommunications Equipment Room. Route new communications cabling to Buildings 8 and 20 and terminate (for future connection). c.
