Location: Renaissance Hotel, 425 Water St, Portsmouth, VA 23704 NAVFAC is seeking industry feedback for project RM12-1896 - Dry Dock 4 Renovations at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia. The project includes: • Installation of temporary cofferdam to support construction • Construction of new caisson and repair of caisson seat • Structural repairs to dry dock floors and walls (includes pinning the dry dock floor via micropiling) • Repair of dry dock utility systems (includes: potable water, fire protection, salt water, sewer, oily waste, steam, electrical, and communication systems) • Renovation of pump well mechanical and electrical systems and architectural features (includes installation of three (3) 85,000 gallons per minute vertical mixed flow dewatering pumps) The estimated range of construction cost for this project is $100-$250 million. At this Industry Day, specific feedback concerning phasing, scheduling, task challenges, and acquisition strategy will be requested. This will be an excellent opportunity for contractors with NAICS code 237990 and similar construction experience to learn more about this upcoming project and the acquisition plan. Note that seating will be limited.
