What this contract is for

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Siding Replacement of the Grand Marais Officer in Charge Building for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace the existing wood siding and associated building envelope components. Work includes the removal and replacement of approximately 1,606 square feet of deteriorated custom wood dutch lap siding. New siding shall consist of custom cedar dutch lap siding that matches the existing profile. The Contractor shall verify the existing siding profile and, if necessary, identify a manufacturer capable of fabricating a custom knife to replicate the profile exactly. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6426Q0100 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early September 2026 with performance to begin in September 2026. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply.
