This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers- Chicago District to inform interested vendors of the district?s intent to issue a solicitation for Upper Appleton Wall Repair, Appleton, Outagamie County, Wisconsin. PROJECT INFORMATION: The scope primarily includes removing the existing material on the upstream face of a stacked masonry stone wall, shotcrete, applying a waterproofing system, and replacing the material to the east and west of the Upper Appleton hydropower plant. The existing wall is roughly 150 years old and has had increased seepage over the past decade. It is founded on bedrock and +/- 20 feet tall. The rehabilitation includes about 365 feet west of the hydropower plant and 140 feet east of the hydropower plant. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED to SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237990, with a small business size standard in dollars of $45 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The requirement is for 439 calendar days. The solicitation package is planned for advertisement Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2026 and bids are planned to be opened in the Second Quarter of Fiscal Year 2026.
