What this contract is for
The United States Air Force intends to issue solicitation FA5575-26-B-0003 to solicit Bids for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to expand the non-potable water distribution system to cover irrigation areas and provisions for the future connection of buildings to the non-potable water distribution system at Morón Air Base, Spain. The magnitude of construction for this project is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000 U.S. Dollars. The period of performance for this project is estimated at 570 calendar days. A solicitation package will be available on the SAM website at www.sam.gov on or after 6 May 2026. In accordance with the Agreement of Defense and Cooperation between the Kingdom of Spain and the United States of America, any contract resulting from this notice/solicitation can only be entered into with companies authorized to carry out these activities in Spain under Spanish law. Companies must meet the requirements established by Spanish legislation for execution of Government works. In addition, in accordance with the Agreement of Defense Cooperation between the U.S.A. and the Kingdom of Spain, Annex 6, Article 1 (3) "The contractors must meet the requirements established by Spanish legislation for execution of government works. A breach of contract on the part of a contractor shall have the same consequences for the contractor for purposes of future contracting with the Spanish government as would occur with a breach of a contract with the Spanish public administration." and (5) " Spanish material, labor, and equipment shall be used whenever feasible and consistent with the requirements".
