What this contract is for

This is a pre-solicitation synopsis for a competitive solicitation that GPO intends to post on SAM.gov on or about May 11, 2026. The scope of work includes: The concrete sidewalk and the vault structure beneath the G Street Sidewalk are showing signs of moderate to severe deterioration of the concrete and the encased structural framing. Over time and a failure of the waterproofing membrane, salt water, and other liquids constantly migrate into the reinforced slab and cause deterioration substantial damages. The contractor shall provide the labor, material, equipment, and supervision to demolish and install the sidewalk slab and to repair and renovate the vaults beams, concrete slab, waterproofing membrane, and columns and other related structures to eliminate the water migration into the basement. All the work shall be in accordance with the design drawings and specifications prepared and submitted along with this statement of work. The contractor is required to obtain permits, traffic control plans, safety, and security approval prior to construction starting. The contractor shall complete the following tasks as part of the project at the GPO G Street Sidewalk Repair: Pre-Construction Tasks Obtain all required permits and approvals. Submit project schedule, safety plan, and traffic control plan. Coordinate with GPO project management and stakeholders. Conduct pre-construction meetings and site walkthrough. Site Preparation & Demolition Install temporary barriers, signage, and traffic control measures. Set up designated staging and material storage areas.
