DESCRIPTION OF WORK The U.S.

Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District, anticipates issuing a solicitation for the construction of a new Maintenance Building at the Algiers Lock in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.

The project will consist of the construction of a fully functional maintenance facility to support lock operations and maintenance activities.The work consists of selective demolition, construction of a new metal maintenance building with cast-in-place concrete foundation, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems; structural excavation and fill; driving prestressed concrete piles; removal and replacement of asphaltic concrete pavement including subbase course and base course; fertilizing, seeding and mulching; ductile iron waterline; sanitary sewer; and other related incidental work.2.

ACQUISITION INFORMATION This solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB).

The resulting contract shall be firm fixed price (FFP).

The solicitation is anticipated to be posted on or about 18 May 2026, with proposals due approximately 30 days thereafter.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is expected to be 236220 ?
