What this contract is for

1. Description: (a) Establish new contract to produce Conventional Air Launched Cruise Missile (CALCM) / Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) Test Instrumentation Kits (CATIKs) and associated CATIK components (i.e. Flight Termination Battery P/N: 541-71072-1, Instrumentation Battery P/N: 541-71078-1 and associated CATIK components/materials.) It is anticipated that this requirement would be for one production of 15 full kits. (b) This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement for market research information only, and is to be used for planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation for proposal. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. (c) The projected contract is for the purchase of CATIKs, and CATIK associated components (Flight Termination and Instrumentation batteries). The contractor shall provide all resources (facilities, and equipment) and engineering expertise necessary to manufacture the products/materials previously cited. (d) This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a company believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement/perform the contract services, the company may identify their interest and capability to the Procuring Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days of this publication.
