What this contract is for
1. General Summary of Services Required. The U.S. Consulate General Cape Town invites qualified vendors to submit quotations for the reconnection and integration of backup generators at ten (10) official residential properties. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform the required work in accordance with the attached Scope of Work (SOW) for Reconnection of Residential Backup Generators. Work includes, but is not limited to: Conducting site assessments at each residence Reconnecting existing generators to electrical distribution systems Integrating generators with existing solar, battery, and municipal power systems Installing required electrical components (e.g., Automatic Transfer Switches, interlocks, control systems) Ensuring safe, compliant, and fully functional system operation Testing and commissioning of all systems All work must comply with applicable local electrical codes, safety standards, and Department of State requirements. 2. Contract Details. The purpose of this request for offers is to award a purchase order to the qualified vendor who provides a bid that credibly addresses the requirements identified in the scope of work attached and is the lowest priced of all technically acceptable offers. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. 3. Interested Vendors.
