What this contract is for

The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 plans to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to obtain construction services for the replacement of seven (7) Air Handling Units (AHUs). These units support Building 42 at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina, serving the Hospital, Audiology, Speech, Sleep Lab, and Community Living areas. Work includes but is not limited to: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing AHUs, and furnish labor and materials to perform the replacement of seven (7) AHUs. All work shall be done in accordance with the construction drawings and specifications. A Pre-Bid Site Visit is tentatively projected for 04 August 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT and Potential Bidders are required to RSVP by no later than 12:00 PM EDT 29 July 2026 via email to [email protected]. The definitive Site Visit Date will be published within the formal Solicitation. Attendance of the Pre-Bid Site Visit is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. It is the responsibility of the Potential Bidder to confirm receipt of RSVP. It is the responsibility of the Potential Bidders to bring all necessary personnel, inclusive of subcontractors, tooling, and materials necessary to the Pre-Bid Site Visit. The Government will NOT be providing paper copies of any solicitation, solicitation attachments or annexes, specifications, or drawings. The Government will NOT be reimbursing any costs associated with attendance or bid preparation.
