** This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers- Chicago District to inform interested vendors of the district?s intent to issue a solicitation for Gate Hoist Machinery Painting and Hoist House Rehabilitation for Fox River Dams, Wisconsin. ** ** PROJECT INFORMATION: The Government is seeking a contractor to 1) repaint the gate hoisting machinery and 2) to rehabilitate the gate hoist houses for 9 (nine) US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) operated dams on the Fox River, Wisconsin. The dams include the following: Kaukauna Dam, Little Chute Dam, Cedars Dam, Appleton Lower Dam, Menasha Dam, Appleton Upper Dam, DePere Dam, Little Kaukauna Dam, and Rapid Croche Dam.Base 1 repainting work includes surface preparation and painting of the various gate hoisting machinery located at each dam. Base 2 hoist houses rehabilitation work at each dam includes: (1) replacing the existing shingle roofing with metallic sheet roofing; (2) replacing current doors with heavy duty commercial doors (modify existing door wall framing as needed ISO heavier doors); (3) replacing exterior vinyl siding with galvalume siding; (4) replacing the exterior soffit fascia; and (5) insulating the ceiling and wall cavities.Material specifications and installation procedures will be in accordance with the USACE EM 385-1-1 requirements and procedures summarized in a scope of work. ** ** ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY for Small Business Concerns.
