What this contract is for

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with RFO part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FA301626R0038 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP), for a "turnkey" solution to provide climate control for six Military Working Dog (MWD) kennels at JBSA-Lackland. The contractor is responsible for leasing, installing, operating, and maintaining a temporary HVAC system to ensure the kennels are kept within a temperature range of 45–85°F. Scope of Work: The contractor shall conduct surveys of the work scope, both before it begins and after it is finished. These surveys will verify that the work adheres to all HVAC industry standards, state and federal codes, and the environmental requirements detailed in this contract. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, layouts of work features, and supervision needed to lease, install, operate and maintain HVAC equipment in the various locations as shown in Attachment A – Conceptual Framework. The Contractor shall provide maintenance and servicing of generators, fuel, auxiliary tanks, HVAC units, drywell for HVAC equipment condensate, and appurtenances such as electrical conductors, plumbing, and temporary metal ductwork with liner. The Contractor is responsible for enclosure of the kennel roof gable to aid in maintaining temperatures.
