Naval Facilities Engineering System Command (NAVFAC) Southeast is soliciting comments from the public addressing the potential use of Project Labor Agreements (PLA) for the following construction project.

The construction project involves constructing railroad trackage to connect and facilitate the transfer from commercial rail to the on-base processing facility at Cape Canaveral.

Constructs a low-rise open air standing seam-metal roofed canopy on a reinforced shallow foundation with wide-flange beams and columns and continuous footings for a Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile Processing Facility (Motor Transfer Facility).

Functions include receiving and shipping missile motors, components and Active Inert Missiles (AIMS) which require superflat floors for air pallet operations.

The roof structure will include sloped, uninsulated metal roof panels on steel joists.

Project will be design-bid-build.

The magnitude of construction is anticipated to be $25,000,000 – $100,000,000.

General period of performance is anticipated to be approximately 527 calendar days.
