What this contract is for
This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice in accordance with FAR 5.204 and 5.205(f). The Department of Energy Golden Service Center Acquisition Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Technical Development Support Services in support of the offices of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE). The work requires a Contractor to furnish all personnel, equipment, material, supplies and services required to support EERE?s technical requirements. The work includes providing support and assistance on scientific, engineering and technical issues including, but not limited to, technical review of scientific and engineering studies and analyses, preparation of technology transfer products, development of program plans and evaluations and technical expertise in various program and project evaluations using a variety of financial analysis services. These services will primarily be provided at the DOE Headquarters Building (Forrestal) in Washington, D.C., but may be required at other EERE locations within the United States. This is a competitive SBA 8(a) set-aside, limited to 8(a) eligible concerns as determined by the SBA. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The estimated period of performance shall be for a one (1) year base period and two (2) 1-year options. The anticipated period of performance will commence on or about November 21, 2013 ? November 20, 2014 and (if all options are exercised) continue through November 20, 2016.
