NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a Brand Name Sole Source contract to Harris Corporation, RF Communication Division, 1680 University Ave., Rochester, NY 14610 for the following parts: 1. (1)ea CM-018305-005 Computer, CSD to include FM-014619-022 Rear support, FDi 2U, Computer; FM-014619-023 Support, Middle, FDi 2RU, Computer; FM-014619-047 Support, Front, FDi 2RU, Computer; FM-018710 Handle, MOD, 2RU FDi PC; and 14020-0023-01 Kit, CDS Data Back up; and 2. (1)ea F2N017-06INCH AT to PS/s Adapter in support of USS Comstock LSD 45, San Diego, CA 92136-3581. Harris Corporation is the authorized OEM of the product parts listed in this Notice of Intent. Requirement includes delivery of all items. No partial delivery will be accepted. FLCSD will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under SAP is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is for a brand name only. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming.
