What this contract is for

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13 to Freeman Marine Equipment Inc., 28336 Hunter Creek Road, Gold Beach, OR 97444. The proposed contract action is for the replacement of (1)ea Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) HATCH ASSEMBLY, 2426 VM Without Pressure Relief Valve, Part Number B100-9999. The purchase of the Hatch Assembly is only possible through Freeman Marine Equipment, Inc as the equipment is proprietary and only available through this manufacturer. This requirement is per NAVSEA Drawing 5749292. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. The NAICS code is 336611 and the applicable business size is 1,250 employees. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail. Requests must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number.
