What this contract is for

The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Norfolk intends to solicit and negotiate a brand name Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract and will utilize procedures with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Commander, Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) requires an Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) for use at the AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. A complete RFP package will be available on or about 12 August 2016, by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract as supported by a signed Justification for Sole Source. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219 – Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations.
