The intent of this synopsis is to identify potential sources that are capable of performing construction that adds eleven new fuel hydrant outlets and associated 14" stainless steel hydrant loop piping to the south side of the Center Ramp in accordance with the latest military standards (UFC 3-460-01 Petroleum Fuel Facilities, DoD Standard Design AW 078-24-28 Pressurized Hydrant Fueling System, Type III).

The new lines will tie into the existing hydrant piping north of Taxilane C.

The existing return piping will be abandoned in place.

The project work scope will include fuel piping, grounding, new Emergency Fuel Shutoff stations, cathodic protection systems, demolition of concrete pavement, repair of pavement, and all other necessary support.

Site preparation consists of simple excavation and pavement demolition / replacement for new underground utilities and fueling pits.

Environmental mitigation includes archaeological monitoring and contaminated soil management.

Construction will occur on an active airfield.

The magnitude of construction for this project is anticipated to be between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000.
