REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) BUILDING 215 ADVANCED MEASUREMENT LABORATORY (AML) CLEANROOM REPAIR AND HEPA FILTER REPLACEMENT Solicitation/Reference No.: 1333ND26RNB190014 1.

PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and FAR 15.201 to obtain industry feedback concerning the scope, schedule, phasing, cleanroom outage requirements, technical and performance risks, and estimated construction cost associated with the Building 215 Advanced Measurement Laboratory (AML) Cleanroom Repair and HEPA Filter Replacement project.

NIST previously solicited this requirement under Solicitation No.

1333ND26RNB190014.

NIST did not receive an acceptable offer under that solicitation.

NIST is therefore reassessing the requirement and acquisition approach before determining whether and how to resolicit the project.

NIST is particularly interested in identifying aspects of the requirement that may materially affect industry participation, constructability, schedule feasibility, pricing, risk, or the ability of contractors to submit competitive proposals.

Industry is encouraged to provide candid feedback and to identify recommended changes that could improve constructability, competition, schedule feasibility, cost certainty, and overall project execution while continuing to meet NIST’s mission and cleanroom operational requirements.

Official solicitation and documents

The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
