What this contract is for

The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City has a requirement for a professional contractor to deliver a finished product, performing all necessary work and diligence with the authorities having jurisdiction, for the repavement of Casa de la Moneda Street, located in the Miguel Hidalgo. The pavement along Casa de la Moneda is significantly deteriorated due to age, heavy load traffic during NEC construction, inadequate drainage, and repeated patching after utilities installation. The current road condition has led to safety hazards, vehicle damage complaints. This project proposes a full pavement reconstruction to restore structural integrity, improve driving conditions, and extend the service life of the roadway. The Government is planning a Site Visit and the date for this visit will be stated in the solicitation. All contractors are to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting a quotation pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. The guidelines for registration in SAM are also available at: https://sam.gov/content/entity-landing Electronic Submission/Responses: This opportunity allows for electronic responses. Please submit your quotation prior to the response date and time.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
