What this contract is for
This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 - Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Thermofin. This is a supply contract to to manufacture and deliver eight (8) generator air coolers to Oahe Power Plant. The overall dimensions, connections, heat transfer rate (made up of the material type and water flow rate) of the air coolers must meet the requirements of Enerfin, RAM Model No. F20/041/08. All of cooling parameters of these coolers are proprietary information and the property of Enerfin (currently owned by Thermofin).The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition to U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source (1) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, (i) Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 332410, Power Boiler and Heat Exchanger Manufacturing. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 750 Employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement woud be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 2pm CDT on 27 July 2026, an award will be made without further notice.
