NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Award under RFO Part 12 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This is a notice of intent to sole source for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.101, Presolicitation notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent to sole source and synopsis of the proposed action. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to Low Voltage Specialty, Incorporated for Fire Alarm Maintenance Services for the Northern California Health Care System. This will be a short-term six (6) month contract to continue services. The statutory authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of RFO 12.201-1 is 41 U.S.C. § 1901 and 1903 and is implemented by FAR 13.106(b)(1) for restricting competition on this procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. The Product Service Code (PSC) is H112-Quality Control-Fire Control Equipment. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $19.0 million.
