What this contract is for
For release is the Munitions Open Solicitation for Advanced and Innovative Capabilities dated March 20, 2026. PAE Fires, as one of the Army’s core modernization enterprises, is responsible for shaping, integrating, and delivering the Army’s most critical fires capabilities – today and into the future. This initiative is focused on modernizing the Army’s Organic Industrial Base by actively seeking innovative technologies to rapidly and efficiently research, develop, prototype, test, evaluate, procure, and/or field critical enabling advanced fires capabilities that address near-term and mid-term threats. This solicitation aims to provide the Army with access to innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge over adversaries while enabling flexible business arrangements with the industrial base to implement the National Defense Strategy and Army Vision. The Army may select vendors whose solutions demonstrate the greatest potential to achieve the Army’s missions.
