What this contract is for

This is an Intent to Sole Source. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, of quotations. The purpose of this notice is to provide information regarding this requirement. MICC-FortKnox, 199 6th Avenue, Fort Knox, KY 40121, on behalf of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) Mission Support Battalion, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source award for the provision of electrical services and all necessary materials for exhibit and office spaces assigned to the U.S. Army at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Convention. The event is scheduled for October 12-14, 2026, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. This sole source award to ACTE is in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by way of the procedures outline in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.102(a) (DFARS CD 2026-O0028). This sole source is authorized under FAR 12.102(a) (DFARS CD 2026-O0028) – soliciting from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of this contract action deems only one source reasonably available. This notice complies with FAR 5.101, Methods of disseminating information.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
