What this contract is for

Description: The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), FCI Cumberland, intends to issue a solicitation to refurbish the institution’s wastewater lift station. Work includes demolition and removal of existing pumps, grinder, auger, electrical disconnects, transfer switch, and controls; installation of new lift station equipment; electrical upgrades; controls modernization; testing; commissioning; and staff training. All work must maintain continuous sewage system operation and comply with Federal, State, Local, NEC, NFPA 820, OSHA, and FBOP security requirements. Place of Performance: Federal Correctional Institution Cumberland 14601 Burbridge Rd. SE Cumberland, MD 21502 Scope of Work Includes: (See attached Statement of Work) • Removal and disposal of existing lift station equipment. • Installation of new stainless?steel NEMA 4X control panel with PLC/relay logic, VFDs, starters, surge protection, HOA switches. • New level?sensing system with redundancy and audio/visual alarms. • Installation of new grinder, auger, diverters, three wet?well pumps, and three spare pumps. • Replacement of incoming disconnects, automatic transfer switch, and associated wiring. • Upgraded grounding, conduits, surge/lightning protection, and fail?safe logic. • Full functional testing, hydrostatic testing, manufacturer startup, and calibration. • Minimum 6 hours of on?site training and provision of all as?built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, schematics, and PLC programming.
