The Department of Parks and Community Engagement is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive engineering, design, procurement, installation, integration, and commissioning services for a full modernization of Goodlet Theater. This initiative is intended to significantly enhance the theater’s technical capabilities, audience experience, and long-term operational efficiency through targeted upgrades to its audio/visual systems, projection capabilities, and audience seating. The selected contractor will be expected to deliver a turnkey, performance-based solution that includes on-site spatial assessment, equipment sizing, installation, system testing, staff training, and strict warranty support, alongside options for ongoing annual maintenance. The scope of work includes a complete audio system upgrade, featuring new professional-grade speakers, wireless microphone capabilities, upgraded wiring and infrastructure, acoustic improvements, and a modern digital sound control board. In addition, the project includes a full lighting system modernization featuring upgraded stage and show lighting, programmable DMX lighting controls, rigging improvements, and dedicated spotlight capabilities (with backstage/dressing room illumination available as an additive alternate). The theater will also receive a premium projection and camera system upgrade, including the installation of a high-end large-format projector, a motorized retractable projection screen, and a PTZ camera system capable of live streaming and recording.
