NOTE: This will be a Sealed Bidding Solicitation, all responses to this Invitation For Bid (IFB) shall be submitted via FedConnect ONLY. Email proposals WILL NOT be accepted. The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA, Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The Stegall Substation Stage 07 Phase 01 Construction Project enhances WAPA’s ability to provide reliable/cost-efficient electrical power by replacing end-of-life control building, disconnect switches, and oil circuit breakers. New gas circuit breakers are on site and ready for installation by the contractor. WAPA benefits from these replacements by resolving deteriorating and potentially dangerous equipment conditions while setting up the substation for future Phase 02 conversion to breaker and a half bus configuration. The principal components of work include the following: Replace 115kV circuit breakers, 230 and 115kV disconnect switches, re-conductor 230 and 115kV main bus, construct new control building and comm tower Location: Stegall Substation Situated near Stegall Road in the unincorporated community of Stegall, NE, just north of the Colorado-Nebraska border. Directions: From Gering head south on 10th Street (Kimball Avenue) from M Street for 1.8 miles to Robidoux Road. Turn right and go 4 miles to County Road 17. Turn right and go 0.1 miles to Robidoux Road. Turn left and go 3.3 miles on Robidoux Road, turn right and continue 5 miles on Robadeuax Road to Stegall Road. Turn right and go 0.8 miles to substation on the right.
