What this contract is for

The purpose of this update is to inform industry partners and interested vendors of a schedule change regarding the release of the upcoming solicitation for FS3i. The issuance of the formal solicitation has been delayed. The Government now anticipates releasing the solicitation later than anticipated but still within the current calendar year. This schedule adjustment is necessary to accommodate planned minor modifications to the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as well as targeted revisions to Section L (Instructions, Conditions, and Notices to Offerors) and Section M (Evaluation Factors for Award). The Government is implementing these revisions to directly improve the overall solicitation process. By refining the PWS and updating Sections L and M, the Government aims to: Provide greater clarity and precision regarding the mission requirements. Ensure proposal instructions are straightforward and unambiguous. Streamline the evaluation criteria to facilitate a more efficient, transparent, and fair assessment of all proposals. Interested parties are advised to continue monitoring SAM.gov for future updates, draft documents, and the eventual release of the official Solicitation. No further action is required from industry at this time.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
