What this contract is for
This solicitation is for the Preventive and Remedial Maintenance Services for Chillers at the Smithsonian Institution. The Smithsonian will be seeking Proposals for Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Preventive and Remedial Maintenance Services for Chillers. The applicable North American Industry Classification Codes (“NAICS”) is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard is $45 million. This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. Period of Performance: The initial period of performance is for one (1) 12-month base period from the date of award plus four (4) option years. The Government may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only because of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor. The Smithsonian Institution and/or the selected Contractor(s) may exercise the option to end services via written notice within thirty (30) days of the current contract expiration date. The Smithsonian Institution hereby reserves the right to renew the resultant contract with the selected Contractor(s) for nine (9) additional one (1) year periods. Locations: SI has a requirement to provide Chillers with routine Preventive and Remedial Maintenance Services for facilities in the following locations: Washington, DC, Suitland, MD, Front Royale, VA, Edgewater, MD, Chantilly, VA and New York, NY.
