What this contract is for
The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intent to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to The MathWorks, Inc., Natick, Massachusetts, pursuant to 10 U.S.C. ? 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.103-1, using the commercial acquisition procedures of FAR Part 12. The requirement is for the following: Item 0001 - Enterprise Desktop Programs - Manufacturer: The MathWorks, Inc. - Quantity: 1 - Period of Performance: 01 August 2026 ? 31 July 2027. Based on an approved Justification and Approval (J/A), the Government has determined that The MathWorks, Inc. is the only responsible source capable of satisfying the Governments minimum requirements. A redacted copy of the approved J/A is attached to this Notice of Intent. This Notice of Intent is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotations, proposals, or offers. The Government intends to award this requirement on a sole-source basis to The MathWorks, Inc. Any entity believing it is capable of satisfying the Governments minimum technical and delivery requirements may submit a capability statement demonstrating its ability to meet those requirements without unacceptable risk to cost, quality, performance, or schedule. Capability statements will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether another responsible source exists. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon any response received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
