The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is issuing this Special Notice to inform industry partners of an updated schedule regarding the upcoming TRIDENT requirement.

Please be advised that the Government will not be soliciting proposals for this requirement at this time.

The release of the official solicitation has been delayed and is now projected to be issued in Q4 of 2026 or Q1 of 2027.This Special Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Invitation for Bids (IFB).

It does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract.

The Government is not accepting proposals or capability statements at this time.

Future updates, including any potential Draft RFPs or the final solicitation, will be published directly on SAM.gov.

Interested parties are strongly encouraged to continue monitoring this site for the latest information.

Official solicitation and documents

The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
