What this contract is for

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, is contemplating a firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of maintenance requirements at the Fort Eustis Dredge Material Management Area (FEDMMA), located at JBLE - Eustis with provisions to include Regrading/raising the disposal site berms to an elevation of 36 ft. The berms are currently at elevation 34 ft and have settled in a few places to below 34 ft. The work will also include the relocation of two existing spill boxes 50 - 60 feet into the disposal site. The existing access dirt and stone access ramp will need to be regraded, as well, to meet the new top-of-berm elevation. Contractors should review and follow all bid instructions listed in the solicitation. Site Visit information will be provided in an upcoming amendment to the solicitation. Questions are to be submitted using ProjNet. Bids are to be submitted on the PIEE web site. See web site link within this notice to access PIEE.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
