Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center (GVSMVAMC) at Jackson, MS has a requirement titled "Renovate Radiation Oncology Department” for project number 586-26-100. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). At least 15 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel shall be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other eligible SDVOSB concerns. A Firm-Fixed Price construction contract award is anticipated. This will be a Design-Build opportunity. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, expertise, administration, transportation and supervision necessary to renovate the Radiation Therapy Program located in the basement level of the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center. The project includes the full renovation of approximately 13,508 square feet of existing basement space and the replacement of the first?floor air?handling unit serving this area. Work will be completed in multiple phases and includes demolition, reconstruction, and installation of a new CT Simulator suite; removal of the existing CT Simulator; medical?grade architectural finishes; specialized shielding design; a new ceiling?mounted patient lift; Liebert HVAC systems; upgraded electrical, lighting, plumbing, and medical gas systems; and updated telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems.
