What this contract is for

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS Description of the Project: This is a project is to improve an existing rail bed into a Tactical Vehicle Maneuver Lane (TVML), extending west from Paris-Windham Rd., west of the Engineer Dig Site North and on the north side of Smalley Rd., running parallel to it. Once fully completed and all phases constructed the improvements will provide better maneuverability across CJAG training areas. The improvements will also contribute to long term sustainable use of training areas and will help avoid and/or minimize negative impacts to the environment and associated costs. Base Bid: Improve an existing rail bed extending west from Paris-Windham Rd., just south of the North Dig Site for use by tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles. This task is for construction by a contractor, as shown on construction drawing sheet C-127. The work area will be between stations 78+50 to 74+00. OPT #1: Improve an existing rail bed extending west from Paris-Windham Rd., just south of the North Dig Site for use by tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
