What this contract is for
The Contractor shall provide two Orthotic Fitters to support the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) at the Washington, DC VA Medical Center. The positions will support clinical and administrative functions related to the fitting, dispensing, adjustment, documentation, and inventory support of orthotic devices and therapeutic footwear, consistent with VA duties for Orthotic Fitter roles and VA therapeutic footwear policy. Please note that this acquisition has been designated as an emergency procurement, authorizing the Department of Veterans Affairs to proceed with an expedited award in accordance with FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The contracting officer intends to award the purchase order to the first respondent to the solicitation who demonstrates the capability to meet all requirements and offers a price determined to be fair and reasonable. The solicitation will remain open until the requirement is fulfilled.
