What this contract is for

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1240LU26Q0068 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Seed Orchard Disconnect and Electrical Life Safety Rehab. This project is to relocate the overhead power to underground power, install a new electrical disconnect, and replace pump controls at the Salmon River Seed Orchard Pump Station. The project will correct several electrical deficiencies at the Salmon River Seed Orchard Pump Station, that have resulted in hazardous conditions and equipment failures. The project would include removing existing overhead power, weather head, and pole and replacing it with new underground service to new Type 4, 400A, 480V, 3 phased disconnect switch and post. Removing existing electrical backboard and replacing with new pumpstation mounting assembly suitable for three NEMA Type4 Motor Control Centers. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 237130 Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction The small business size standard is $45M. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Performance & Payment Bonds (FAR 52.228-15): Both required at 100% of original contract price if value in excess of $150,000, due 10 days after award.
