What this contract is for

Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source 8(a) Ahtna Link Technical Services JV, LLC, an Alaskan Native Corporation for the U.S. Department of Energy, Oak Ridge Environmental Office to develop a Characterization Plan for the remediation of the David Witherspoon Screen Arts Site. The U.S. Department of Energy, Oak Ridge Environmental Office, intends to issue a non-commercial services order pursuant to the authority of FAR RFO 19 on a sole source basis Ahtna-Link Technical Services. This procurement for services to complete a characterization and disposal plan for the radiologically-contaminated Witherspoon Screen Arts Sites, as well as the completion of characterization and a final report. Due to numerous unknowns, optional scope includes additional sample collections; development of applicable documentation for both onsite and offsite disposal; performance of surveys; equipment/material removal, and securing the site (cameras, fence repair, signs, security guard). The proposed action will be a non-Commercial Firm Fixed-Price Services purchase order. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519 with a Small Business size standard of 500 employees. This action will be conducted in accordance with RFO FAR Parts 13. This notice is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotes.
