THE PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision required to furnish and install cabling to reconnect the pedestrian blue call pole communication line between Buildings 3 and 6 to the VA system at 2121 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
I.
SPECIFIC: To include: Remove the old cable that is being replaced.
Install a new 25-pair CAT 3 cable from the OIT Telecommunication Room in the basement of Building 3 to the basement of Building 6, approximately 700 feet in length Terminate all pairs of the new cable at both ends, connecting to the existing 100-pair Building Entrance Protect in Building 3 and the 66-block in Building 6 The cable pathway between buildings will use the existing duct bank, which includes multiple permitted confined-space underground access vaults for cable installation Firestopping material in the OIT Telecommunication Room must be removed to install the cable and then properly restored The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this potential acquisition is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors.
The magnitude of this construction project will be below $25,000.00.
