Scope
Isle of Wight County has issued this Request for Information (RFI) for Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) Administration Services. This RFI is solely for informational, market research, budgetary, and planning purposes. This RFI is not a solicitation to purchase goods or services and does not constitute a commitment to issue any future solicitation, award of a contract, or payment for any cost incurred in developing a response to this RFI. In the future, Isle of Wight County may or may not choose to issue a solicitation to contract for these or similar goods or services, and may or may not choose to incorporate information gathered through this RFI into future requirements. We would like to learn (1) which vendors can administer leave, claims coordination and compliance for the state program, (2) whether a vendor can offer or support an employer private plan approved by the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) as an alternative to the state program, and (3) typical pricing, timelines and service models, so the Company can decide whether to run an RFP.

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
