Orikan's Metro LITE Virtual Meter

City of Orlando - Parking Orlando, FL

  • Status Closes in 6 days
  • Amount Amount not listed
  • Set-aside None (open competition)

Scope

The City of Orlando's Parking Division is seeking to implement Orikan's Metro LITE Virtual Meter solution to expand digital parking payment options, improve customer convenience, and reduce the need for traditional parking meter infrastructure. The proposed implementation consists of 25 units, initially deployed through a three-month trial to evaluate customer adoption, transaction volume, and overall operational effectiveness before considering further expansion. Orikan’s Metro LITE Virtual Meters provide a modern, convenient way for customers to initiate and pay for parking sessions using their smartphones through NFC tap-to-pay or optional Text-to-Park functionality. Customers are directed to the PayStay payment portal, where they can securely pay using credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Beyond parking payments, the platform can serve as a mobility hub, connecting users to information and applications for e-bikes, e-scooters, rideshare, rail, and bus services.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
