What this contract is for
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). A RFQ WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTES WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. This synopsis is issued in accordance with Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul (RFO) 5.101. The notice provides the United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development’s (USDA-RD) intent to award a sole-source contract pursuant to RFO 6.103-1-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In accordance with RFO 6.103-1, USDA Rural Development Technology Office intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis for full RD automated mail processing operations and other print shop operational services provider. The Contractor will be responsible for having a disaster recovery/business continuity plan and perform a disaster recovery test at least annually. Maintenance activities include remedial maintenance and preventative maintenance necessitated by normal usage. The Contractor will provide trained and qualified client service representatives to perform software maintenance and database services. Equipment is located at USDA Rural Development building located at One Metropolitan Square (OMS) 211 North Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63102, which is a remote job entry site that performs computer support functions for RD. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming.
