Scope

This is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) for market research purposes only and is not a request for proposal, request for quotation, or an invitation for bid.

The 409th Supply Chain Management Squadron at Robins Air Force Base is seeking to identify potential sources with the technical expertise, qualifications, and capabilities necessary to provide repair and overhaul services for C-5 Moving Island Actuators.

Due to the critical flight safety nature of these components, the repair effort is restricted to approved sources.

The government has attached the approved Source Qualification Statement (SQS) to this notice to allow potential alternative sources the maximum amount of time to review the technical requirements and initiate the qualification process.

The Government is seeking to determine the market's ability to supply these repair services and to identify interested and qualified sources for a potential future competitive procurement.

Both large and small businesses are encouraged to respond.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
