Parking Deck Repairs – Downer Place & Galena Boulevard
City of Aurora, IL - Public Facilities Aurora, IL
- Status Closes in 20 days
- Amount Amount not listed
- Set-aside None (open competition)
Scope
The City of Aurora is initiating the first year of a five‑year comprehensive repair and maintenance program for the 5 E. Downer Place and 43 W. Galena Boulevard parking garages. This initial phase focuses primarily on the second levels of both structures, addressing essential concrete rehabilitation including full‑depth, partial‑depth, vertical, overhead, and scattered concrete repairs. Additional structural work includes joint sealant replacement in select areas and the repair or replacement of damaged connectors. In conjunction with the structural repairs, the project includes important waterproofing improvements. Work will involve recoating existing membrane systems, installing new membrane over repaired or currently unprotected areas, routing and sealing floor cracks, and performing minor plumbing repairs. These upgrades are critical to extending the life of both facilities and preventing further deterioration caused by water intrusion. Following the completion of repairs, all existing striping, ADA markings, directional arrows, and pedestrian walkway indicators will be repainted to restore the current layout. The City is seeking qualified vendors experienced in structural restoration, concrete repair, waterproofing systems, and parking facility rehabilitation to carry out this work with quality and long‑term durability in mind.

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
