DESCRIPTION PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, labor, quality assurance, and supervision in accordance with construction documents, drawings and specifications to complete project 556-24-108 Double Block & Bleed Construction at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), North Chicago, IL. This requirement is to include providing all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and management necessary to perform work and install systems in compliance with the construction documents to enable complete and compliant isolation and de-energization of each building s steam supply and condensate return connections with the campus distribution system using double block and bleed valves. The purpose of this project is to enable complete and compliant isolation and de-energization of the steam supply and condensate return connections using a double block and bleed valve assembly at each entry and exit point of each of the 25 listed buildings. Providing Clinical Care: Buildings: 7, 11, 66, 131, 133, 133CA, 133EF, and 134. Providing Non-Clinical Care Facility Support and Administration: Buildings: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 32, 36, 37, 46, 48, 132, 135, 139, 187, 188, and 1CC. These designations are shown to enable the General Contractor (GC) and VA to better plan and execute the work. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Contact Opportunities. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package.
