Final Pre-solicitation Synopsis W912HY26BA018 The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for Houston Ship Channel, Texas Bayport Flare Hopper Dredging in Chambers and Galveston County, Texas. Full and Open Competition. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: 1. Schedule 1 – Project is for Hopper Dredging of the Bayport Flare, Houston Ship Channel, Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS_ Monitory Surveys, Sea Turtle Protection for Bayport Flare, and Sea Turtle Trawling and Relocation (Schedule 1 and Option 1). Schedule 1 includes dredging of approximately 658,000 cubic yards (CY) of Section 1 Bayport Flare, 645,000 CY of Section 2 Bayport Flare, and 430,000 CY of the Houston Ship Channel. Option 1 is for mobilization and demobilization Sea Turtle Trawler and about 30 days for Sea Turtle Trawling and Relocation. 2. Contractor should be familiar with the traffic conditions of the Houston Ship Channel and have experience as a prime contractor for hopper dredging deep draft navigation channels. Contractor should be able to demonstrate experience producing at least 20,000 CY per day utilizing a hopper trailing suction dredge on a deep draft navigation dredging job. 3. Completion Time for Schedule No. 1 for this project is estimated at 69 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. There will be no additional calendar days added to the period of performance if the option is exercised. The Government may exercise this Option by written notice to the Contractor prior to completion of all authorized work. the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in an amount to be determined for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. 4.
