Scope
22 October 2026 Update: The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), extends its appreciation to all industry partners who attended the recent Nuclear Stores Interface Unit (NSIU) Production Industry Day.
Based on constructive feedback received from industry regarding proposal preparation timelines and technical data evaluation under a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) structure, the Government is deferring the release of the final Fair Opportunity Proposal Request (FOPR).
The final FOPR will not be released until after the upcoming winter holiday season at a minimum.
Additionally, the Government is tentatively planning to host a Virtual Industry Day session prior to final FOPR release to provide updates.
A formal notice with registration details and platform links will be cross posted to SAM.gov and the Eglin Wide Agile Acquisition Contract (EWAAC) Contract holders once scheduled.
The Industry Day briefing charts and attendee list contain Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Access is restricted to verified U.S.
DoD contractors.
DD Form 1423 Submissions: Contractors that have already submitted an approved DD Form 1423 and received approval to access program documentation do not need to resubmit.
New interested parties wishing to obtain the briefing materials must contact the Contracting Office directly to verify eligibility and fulfill CUI access requirements.

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
