PROPOSERS DAY: DARPA is hosting a Proposers Day in support of DARPA-SN-27-03 Cattle Run program on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the DARPA Conference Center (675 North Randolph Street, Arlington, VA 22203) from 8:00am to 5:00pm EST.
The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Cattle Run program; promote additional discussion on this topic; address questions from potential proposers; and provide a forum for potential proposers to meet for teaming opportunities.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Cattle Run program enables cost effective cislunar constellations by developing and demonstrating autonomous spacecraft that leverage renewable propulsion [EF1.1]for persistent cislunar access.
Phase 1 develops and rapidly launches a[SK2.1] Demonstrator spacecraf[SK3.1]t in 18 months that shows the ability of renewable propulsion to achieve sufficient acceleration, accurate vehicle control, and autonomous navigation necessary for persistent cislunar access.
The Phase 1 objective is to collect on-orbit data to prove the performance of the renewable propulsion approach including vehicle control and navigation data.
The Demonstrator spacecraft is launched below GEO and is agnostic of formfactor.
Phase 2 creates multiple spacecraft and demonstrates persistent cislunar access.

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
